Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Elizabeth (Libby) Smith Taylor will be held at 2 p.m. today, June 25, 2013 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Dr. Henry Gainey officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn City Cemetery in Adel, Ga. at 4:30 p.m. Active pallbearers will be Eddie Demott, Corporal J.D. Demott, Adam Demott, Marty Adams, Matt Smith, and Cam Greene.
Mrs. Taylor died Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Plantation Manor. Born on Nov. 28, 1938 in Adel, Ga., she was the daughter of the late James Vernon and Lucy McNatt Smith. Mrs. Taylor was a retired teacher from Thomasville High School and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Lori Taylor Demott and husband Eddie, Lisa Taylor Adams and husband Marty, all of Thomasville, Ga.; grandchildren Sarah Demott, Corporal J.D. Demott, Adam Demott, Madison Smith; brother and sister-in-law Jimmy and Pat Smith of Adel; niece, Kim Greene and her husband Cam of Atlantic Beach, FL; nephew, Matt Smith and his wife Maria of Valdosta.
