Marion Richard Sowell, age 72, a retired Power House Supervisor with PCA at Clyattville, Ga. passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, in Madison, Fla.
Funeral services will be Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church in Madison at 3 p.m. Interment will follow the service in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Mr. Sowell was a native of Brooks County, Ga. and was a life long resident of Madison, Fla. He retired from PCA after 37 years of service as a Power House Supervisor in Clyattville, Ga. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #11, Shrine club, Elks Club, and one of the founding members of Little League in Madison County in 1972, and president of the Madison County Fox Hunter Association. He was also a member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Madison, Fla.
Mr. Sowell is survived by his wife, Dale Carpenter Sowell; one daughter, Lynne (Glen) King of Madison, Fla.; one son, Alan (Annette) Sowell of Madison, Fla.; one brother, Tony Sowell of Newborn, N.C.; one sister Lounette Hall of Valdosta; five grandchildren, Shawn King, Travis (Jackie) King, Richie Sowell, Jessica King, Lowe (Ryan) and Alexis Sowell; and five great- grandchildren, Garrett King, Rylee Grace Sowell, Kylie Duarte and Damien Guillen, Sienna Guillen.
