Mrs. Callie Inez Simmons, 69 of Nashville passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Berrien County Hospital.
Mrs. Simmons was born February 16, 1944 in Nashville to the late James and Marie Taylor Astles. She was a member of Faith Ministry Church in Nashville. Survivors include her husband, Emory Simmons of Nashville; two sons and daughter in law, James Flowers and special friend Greta of Crawfordville, Fla., and Bobby and Cindy Flowers of Kansas; three daughters and sons in law, Marie Flowers and special friend, David of Ala., JoAnn and Lonnie Walton of Crawfordville, Fl, and Debra and Greg Forehand of Nashville; one brother and sister in law, James G. and Patricia Astles of Hahira; two sisters and brothers in law, Vivian and Ron Arnold of Valdosta, and Betty and Joe Wheeler of Quitman; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Simmons and Dr. Steve Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Nashville. The family will be receiving friends Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
