VALDOSTA — Robert “Rob” White, 23, of Lake Park, died on Friday, June 6, 2014, at Shand’s at UF in Gainesville, Fla., following injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born in Valdosta on July 19, 1990. He worked as a substitute teacher with the Madison County Elementary School and had attended Francis Lake Baptist Church. He loved being with family and friends and was very involved in the planning and implementing of various family functions.  

Survivors include his father, William O. White Jr., of Lake Park; a brother and sister-in-law, Brandon Charles and Jillian Tinsley of Valdosta; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Hugh Gay of Lakeland, Ga., Monica and Dave Besecker of Charlotte, N.C., Peggy and Larry Arnold of Monks Corner, S.C.; brothers, David White and John White, both of Lakeland, Ga.; aunts and uncles, Linda and Juan Alonso and Lloyd and Peggy Kinchen, all of Valdosta; uncles and aunts, Robert and Lynda Taylor of Lakeland, Fla., Leon and Bonnie White of Yulee, Fla.; an aunt, Elaine Kinchen of Lake Park; several nieces and nephew and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lena Ann Kinchen White.

A graveside service for Robert White will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 3 p.m. in the Lake Park Cemetery with the Rev. Murrell Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park.
