Jicarre Monteze Watkins was born on July 1, 1994, in Tallahassee, Fla., to Reginald Watkins Sr. and Agnes Kimbrough.
His early education began at Jefferson Elementary School in Monticello, Fla. While in school in Monticello, he played football with the Jefferson Tigers. After moving to Brooks County, Ga., he was attending Brooks County High School. Jicarre was a student and athlete, playing football proudly as a Brooks County Trojan! On the field, Jicarre was No. 72 “Get ‘em Got ‘em Watkins.” His intention upon graduating was to attend Troy State University with aspirations to someday play professional football for the Chicago Bears.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Agnes and Terrell Kimbrough and Reginald Watkins Sr.; sisters, Dionne (Justin) Watkins, Kentarsjah Manning, Brianna Miller; brothers, Reginald (Vangie) Watkins Jr., Reginaldo (Lexus) Watkins, Tamarrion Kimbrough, Terrell Kimbrough, Taurean “Todd” Hardy and Jerome Adams and Brandon Golden; grandparents, Betty Russell, Jonathan Bellamy, Mary Watkins and Johnson Watkins; two special nephews, Tremaine Demps and Jazavion Hodges; a very special friend, Nija B. Harvey; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral service for Jicarre Monteze Watkins will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Veterans Stadium, Quitman. Burial will be held in Ashville Community Cemetery, Ashville, Fla.
A public viewing will be held from noon-9 p.m., today, July 19 in the BTW Funeral Services Chapel. Family visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. today in the BTW Funeral Services Chapel.
