Mr. James H. Stroman, 94, of Nashville, Ga. died Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Berrien County Nursing Home in Nashville, Ga. He was born Jan. 8, 1919 in Augusta, Ga. to the late Mr. James Stroman and Viola Ducan. He was self employed as a Mechanic in Lowndes County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Christine Simmons, Albert Gary and Eugene Gary.
He leaves to cherish his memories his ex-wife, Nice L. Ports; 11 step children, Charles Gary (Mattie), Lakeland, Ga., Betty Gary, Lue Jones, Patricia Brown (Ray), Uyra Davis (Gary) and Wanda Wright (Wayne), all of Valdosta, Robert Gary (Liz), Yulee, Fla., Alonza Gary (Carla), Thomasville; 25 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; special friends, Betty Spires, Lillian Mickel and Barbara Slocumb; also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. today, June 29, 2013 in the Chapel of Black and Son Funeral Home in Nashville, Ga. Lillian Mickel will officiate. Honoring his request to be cremated. — Black and Son Funeral Home, Nashville, Ga.
