Angela Fay Williams Holtzclaw
Angela Fay Williams Holtzclaw, 31, of Adel, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at the Langdale Hospice House after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Valdosta on May 10, 1976, and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Holtzclaw was a member of the Hahira First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Todd Holtzclaw of Adel; three daughters, Ansley Copeland, Brittany Copeland and Taylor Copeland, all of Hahira; father of her daughters, Max Copeland of Hahira; stepson, Nicholas Holtzclaw of Indianapolis, Ind.; her parents, Fay and Pam Williams of Valdosta; sister and brother-in-law, Leslie and Tony Durgin of Hahira; nephew, Hunter Durgin of Hahira; niece, Chloe Durgin of Hahira; stepmother, Laura Williams of Valdosta; maternal grandparents, Grady and Wilma Stalvey of Hahira; parents-in-law, Lari Matis of Valdosta and Billy and Ann Holtzclaw of Homerville; two close friends, Shea Zeigler and Mandy Darling, both of Hahira; her former mother-in-law, Elaine Futch Hodges of Cecil; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, M. L. and Melba Williams; a cousin, Keith Williams; and an uncle, Scott Walker.
Funeral services will be held at 3p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007, at the Hahira First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Gordon and Rev. Skip Van Nus officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

Eunice F. Little
Eunice F. Little, 89, of Adel, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, at the Memorial Hospital of Adel.
Born Aug. 4, 1918, in Lanier County, she lived most of her life in Cook County. She was of the First Assembly of God faith and was retired owner and operator of Little’s Bait & Tackle.
She was the daughter of the late Olen Fender and the late Matilda Gaskins Fender. She was married to the late Howard Little.
She is survived by one daughter, Dewanne Early, Adel; grandson and wife, Audie and Rhonda Rowe, Adel; great-grandson, Jordan Rowe, Adel; stepgranddaughter, Lynn Gandy (Don), Sparks; two stepgrandchildren, Jana Elizabeth Gandy and R.J. Gandy, both of Sparks.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Katie Ann Rowe.

Carl Raymond McMillan
Carl Raymond McMillan, 80, of Atlanta, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at Meadowbrook Health Care in Tucker. Born April 19, 1927, in Leon County, Fla., he was the son of the late Bethel McMillan and the late Abbie Alexander. He was employed in apartment maintenance.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane McMillan, who died May 11, 1991. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II with the SeaBees on Okinawa.
Survivors are two daughters, Peggy McMillan and Becky McMillan, both of Atlanta; one son, Ardis McMillan, Stone Mountain; one sister, Ruby Rutherford, Douglas; granddaughter, Christine McMillan; great-granddaughter, Rayna McMillan;

Darold Dean Johnson
Darold Dean Johnson, 71, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Fla.
The funeral service will be held at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home at 11 a.m. today. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson was born April 18, 1936, in Kansas to the late Richard and Thelma Hughes Johnson. After a career in the U.S. Air Force, he retired from production planning for Proctor and Gamble.
Being an avid golfer, he was a member of The Club at Eaglebrooke and a former member of the Cairo Country Club. He was a member of the Raleigh White Baptist Church. He was an active member of the American Cancer Society.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, 809 S. Florida Ave., Lakeland, Fla., 33813. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at The Club at Eaglebrooke in Lakeland, Fla.

Polly Lewis, 91, of Nashville died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at Berrien County Hospital.
She was born Sept. 27, 1916, in Berrien County to the late Walter Henry Hughes and Delia Taylor. She was a homemaker and member of Oakey Grove Primitive Baptist Church.
She was the widow of Jesse Columbus Lewis Jr. and was also preceded in death by a son, William Henry Lewis, a sister, Ethel Hughes, and two brothers, T.C. and L.D. Hughes.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Ann Page of Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Jean Lewis of Lake Park; a sister, Irene Rowe of Nashville; a brother, W.E. Hughes of Nashville; and six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and three step-great-great-grandchildren.

Mary Alice Todd
Mary Alice Todd, 83, of Nashville, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, at her residence. Born Feb. 1, 1924, in Coweta County, she was a homemaker and retired secretary with the Lowndes County Health Department. She was a member of Willacoochee United Methodist Church and was the widow of Lewis Cleveland Todd.
Survivors are one daughter, Susan (Danny) Hendley, Nashville; one son, Leslie (Zita) Todd, Coral Gables, Fla.; one sister, Emily Sewell, Marietta; four grandchildren; and eight great-granchildren.

Agnes Underwood
Agnes Underwood, 84, a longtime resident of Quitman, passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, at the Presbyterian Home after a long history of illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Underwood; a son, Vernon Underwood; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sapp.
She is survived by a daughter, Pat Underwood, Quitman; daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Willard Townsend, Montgomery, Ala.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Annis Graham, Adel.
Mrs. Underwood was employed by the Royal Cafe in Quitman for more than 25 years and was a member of the Baptist faith.
Graveside services will be held at 5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007, in Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. John O’Neil officiating.
