Robert H. "Bobby" Daughtrey
Mr. Robert H. "Bobby" Daughtrey, 76, of Adel passed away Sept. 23, 2007 at his residence after a short illness.
He was born June 17, 1931 in Cook County to the late William Henry and Ethel Virginia Jones Daughtrey. He lived most of his life in Cook County. He was a retired Building Contractor; Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Montgomery Daughtrey of Adel; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Lisa Daughtrey and Duke and Lana Daughtrey, all of Adel; two daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Chris Sumner of Alapaha, Kim and Rob Alley, Sparks; six grandchildren, Jake and Blake Daughtrey, Adel, Chance, Charla and Brooke Alley, Sparks, Micaela Sumner, Alapaha; and one brother, Dennie Daughtrey of Blounts Creek, N.C. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Charlie Daughtrey, Earl Daughtrey, Elmer Daughtrey and James Daughtrey and one sister, Dorothy Hiers.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007 at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Don Williams officiating. Interment will be held in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. LAKELAND
Lucille S. Trumbo
Lucille S. Trumbo, 91 of Lakeland, died on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, at Louis Smith Memorial Hospital. Born in Emporia, Kan. on Feb. 4, 1916, she was the daughter of the late George Fox and Dorothy Edwards Sandy. Mrs. Trumbo was a retired Kindergarten Teacher and a member of the Lakeland Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors are her daughters, Marcia Babbitt and Arlene Boettcher of Lakeland; a son, James Trumbo of Almena, Kan.; sister, Jessie Mae Yates of Lenexa, Kan.; six grandchildren; and 12 great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Lakeland Seventh Day Adventist Church. Pastor Mark Piotrowski will officiate. Mrs. Trumbo will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to service time on Wednesday. Visitation will be this evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
