BERLIN

Linda Jewell Glass Yawn Rosier

Linda Jewell Glass Yawn Rosier, 62 of 5910 Highway 133, South, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, at Berlin Baptist Church with the Rev. Clyde Billingsley officiating.

Born on Feb. 24, 1945, in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late Layton Glass and Verdie Tillman Glass Cannon Powers. Mrs. Rosier was a homemaker and a member of Berlin Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Paul L. Yawn, Jr. of Gainesville, Fla.; one daughter, Debbie Baker and husband Lee of Cecil, Ga.; a special friend, Pete Benson of Berlin; two grandchildren, Anthony K. Levins and Brandy Lee Baker; one great-grandchild, Sean Oliver Levins.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the family — Cobb Funeral Chapel, Moultrie.

HOMERVILLE

Ava Nell Roe Touchton

Mrs. Ava Nell Roe Touchton, 83 of Homerville, passed away early Thursday morning Sept. 13, 2007, at Lakeland Villa Convalescent Center following a brief illness.

Mrs. Touchton was born Feb. 1, 1924, in Clinch County, She was a member of the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Sally Thomas Roe and Johnny Roe and was preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin Touchton, and one son, Franklin Touchton .

Survivors are one daughter, Glenda Ballance of Homerville; one sister, Johnnie Faye Vest of Homerville; one brother Otis Roe of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several other relatives.

Services for Mrs. Touchton will be held Saturday Sept. 15, 2007, at 2 p.m. from the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Keith Chauncey and the Rev. Lynn Barber. Internment will be in Pine Forest Cemetery. Mrs. Touchton will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m.
