Margaret Ellen Pafford Godwin
Margaret Ellen Pafford Godwin, 76 of Adel passed away Sept. 9, 2007, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
She was born on Jan. 10, 1931, in Cook County to the late Carlie and Lola Crosby Pafford. She lived in Cook County all of her life and was a homemaker and member of Antioch United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Randall Godwin of Adel; one son and daughter-in-law, Durrand and Cynthia Godwin of Adel; three daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and R.J. Sellers, Moultrie, Karen and Dwight Stalvey, McDonough, Ga., Sherry and Richard Brady, Nashville; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Laquetta and Howard Cason of Albany, Ga.; and a brother-in-law, James Phillips of Fitzgerald. She was preceded in death by one sister, Eudora Phillips.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, at Antioch United Methodist Church. Interment will be held in Antioch Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-9 p.m. at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home, Hwy. 41 South. — Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home, Adel.

Gilbert Mark Jernigan
Gilbert Mark Jernigan, 67, of Hahira, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007. He was born on April 11, 1940, in Harriman, Tenn., to the late Lunie Jack and Hazel Sylvia Graham Jernigan. Mr. Jernigan was retired from the United States Air Force and the United States Postal Service and was a Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Gerlinde Jernigan of Hahira; one daughter, Karina Jernigan of Melbourne, Fla.; one son, Ken Jernigan of Tampa, Fla.; one brother, Jack Jernigan of Valrico, Fla.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Ruby Poole of Oliver Springs, Tenn. and Anna Mae and Carl Brill of Dover, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, at 4 p.m. at the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with full military honors.
