What: Weather permitting, a portion of the outside lane of I-75 is scheduled to be closed while a research consultant conducts tests and collects road data. The tests will be used to predict cracking in the road, which will help pavement designers build better roads.
When: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, May 23. (Testing may not require the full seven hours).
Where: I-75 south between milepost 38.8 (state Route 37) in Cook County and the Lowndes County line. The exact test site will depend on visual examination and will not require closing the entire distance.
