Lanier loses in blowout

Folkston — Charlton County's stellar season continued in week seven of the high school football season, as the Indians (5-2, 3-0) routed Lanier County (2-5, 1-2) 38-8.

The Indians, who average a whopping 222 passing yards per game, found things easy against the Lanier County secondary Friday night.

Charlton County came out of the gates quickly, and the result of the game wasn't in doubt by halftime.

The win is Charlton County's third in a row and fourth in the last five games.

The Indians will travel to Homerville to take on Clinch County next Friday night.

Lanier County will take on Irwin County next week in hopes that returning home will fix the team's recent woes.
