Traffic stop leads to meth charges

VALDOSTA — Following through on a tip regarding narcotics and a wanted person, authorities reportedly arrested and charged five people with drug offenses during a traffic stop on the 800 block of Lakeland Avenue Thursday.

A search of the vehicle turned up a small quantity of methamphetamine, said Lt. Aaron Kirk of the Valdosta Police Department.

“They were in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine,” said Kirk. “They had items in the vehicle that are commonly used in the manufacture of methamphetamine, but they didn’t appear to be in the process of making it.”

Joseph Brennon Seago, 34, was reportedly charged with possession of synthetic narcotics, possession of narcotic equipment and violation of probation.

Donald Autstin Bryant Jr., 38, Sheldon Lee Vickers, 31, Amelia Marion Tinney, 26, and Miranda Nicole Bryant, 33, were each charged with possession of synthetic narcotics and possession of narcotic equipment, reports stated.

All five suspects were transported to the Lowndes County Jail and their bail has been revoked, according to reports.

Anyone having any further information regarding this crime or any other crime is urged to contact the Valdosta Police Department, (229) 293-3145; or through the anonymous tip-line, (229) 293-3091.
