VALDOSTA — “On the Edge”: Performed by VSU Repertory Dancers. Synopsis: “This year’s annual dance concert will present original choreography as well as restagings from our extensive repertoire by Sarah Wildes Arnett, Eric Nielsen and Catherine Schaeffer. Don’t miss what has become a seasonal favorite for students and patrons alike.” Sawyer Theatre. Run dates: Oct. 3-6.

“As You Like It”: By William Shakespeare. Synopsis: “A rollicking romantic comedy set in the Forest of Arden, ‘As You Like It’ explores the true nature of love and the rocky road to romance with a witty and mischievous heroine seeking to capture the heart of her beloved. With its pastoral setting and humorous devices of mistaken identity and missed opportunities, ‘As You Like It’ promises to be delightful entertainment for all. Sawyer Theatre. Run dates: Nov. 7-13.

“Eventually Ever After”: Annual Children’s Show, written, directed and choreographed by VSU Theatre & Dance’s Sarah Wildes Arnett. Synopsis: “Did you ever wonder what would happen if Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother showed up too late or if Little Red Riding Hood did not follow the directions to her Grandmother’s house? Join us in this dance production of twisted tales, created specifically for young audiences, in ‘Eventually Ever After.’ Well-known fictional characters are brought to life through movement and audience participation in order to share the importance of timeliness and commitment.” Sawyer Theatre. Run dates: Jan. 31-Feb. 1; show will tour schools through February and March.

“Arcadia”: By Tom Stoppard. Synopsis: “‘Arcadia’ transports us delightfully between 1809 and the present, puzzling over the nature of truth and time, the amusing differences between the Romantic and Modern, and the disruptive influence of ‘carnal embrace’ on our orbits in life.” Lab Theatre. Run dates: Feb. 20-26.
