VSU Art Faculty Exhibition: Annual show featuring works by the university’s art faculty. Reception: 7-8:30 p.m., Aug. 19. Run dates: Aug. 19-Sept. 6.

“Emerge”: Sculptures and drawings by Erin Curry, Nicole Gugliotti, and Evie Woltil Richner. Reception: 7-8:30 p.m., Sept. 16. Run dates: Sept. 16-Oct. 4.

“We Two Founts”: Sculptural video by Derek Larson; paintings by Marc Mitchell. Reception: 7-8:30 p.m., Oct. 14. Run dates: Oct. 14-Nov. 2.

Fall Senior Exhibition: Graduating art students present their works. Reception: 1-3 p.m., Nov. 10. Run dates: Nov. 10-Dec. 2.

Valdosta National 2014: Annual, nationwide, all-juried competition. Reception: 7-8:30 p.m., Jan. 21. Run dates: Jan. 21-Feb. 8.

“Rituals”: Color photography by Mark Alan Francis. Reception: 7-8:30 p.m., Feb. 17. Run dates: Feb. 17-March 8.

Student Competition: Annual all-media, juried art competition of works by VSU students. Reception: 7-8:30 p.m., March 24. Run dates: March 24-April 11.

“Lonely, I’m Not”: By Paul Weitz. Synopsis: “At an age when most people are discovering what they want to do with their lives, Porter has been married and divorced, earned seven figures as a corporate ‘ninja,’ and had a nervous breakdown. It’s been four years since he’s had a job or a date, and he’s decided to give life another shot. ‘Lonely, I’m Not’ is a comic journey that follows Porter as he meets Heather, an ambitious, sightless young businesswoman who is overcoming her own obstacles to emotional success.” Lab Theatre. Run dates: Sept. 5-11.
