A sneak peek at some area arts organizations' 2013-14 seasons

VALDOSTA — Shakespeare and Mozart, Neil Simon and an iPad concerto, all of this and more will be arriving within the coming months to Valdosta in the 2013-15 arts seasons.

The Times recently polled and trolled a few area arts organizations for a peek into their coming seasons. This list is impressive but is by no means the full spectrum of shows, plays, exhibits and concerts opening in the coming months and into next year. In addition to these shows, there will be more children’s productions and high school musicals. The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts is expected to announce its Presenter Series of visiting professional shows later this month — though we do have the Presenter Series dates. Peach State Summer Theatre is wrapping its 2013 season this week, but is already looking toward the 2014 shows — what these shows will be will likely be announced in the coming weeks and months.

So, consider this a cool taste of the arts to come, something to fill your calendars for the rest of this year and even into next year.
