A Tuesday afternoon search of a Northside Drive residence turned up approximately eight grams of cocaine, 21 grams of ecstasy, two handguns, digital scales, hundreds of empty gel caps and packaging materials, according to reports from the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office.
The search of the residence, located in the 400 block of Northside Drive, was conducted by investigators from the Special Operations Division of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office and probation officers from the Georgia Department of Corrections at approximately 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to reports.
Ronnie Leggett Jr., 34, of Valdosta is charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of MDMA (3-4 Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) or ecstasy with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of tools for the commission of a crime, according to reports.
Leggett was arrested and transported to the Lowndes County Jail, reports stated.
The investigation was classified as on-going Wednesday and additional arrests were said to be possible, according to reports.
