Warrants issued in Valdosta stabbing

VALDOSTA — Authorities issued arrest warrants Monday and identified a suspect in a March 13 stabbing on Lee Street, according to the Valdosta Police Department.

Jahmal McGee, 20, is wanted on charges of aggravated assault, armed robbery and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime in connection with the stabbing of a 48-year-old Valdosta man.

At 5:24 a.m. Thursday, responding officers found a man in the roadway in the 300 block of Lee Street with multiple stab wounds.

He was taken to South Georgia Medical Center for treatment and was reportedly drifting in and out of consciousness during transport, according to VPD. He underwent surgery and was listed in serious condition, reports stated.

A cell phone and $60 cash were taken from the man during the incident, reports stated.
