Three charged in drug bust

Police: Nearly quarter-million dollars in narcotics seized

VALDOSTA — Valdosta police seized nearly a quarter million dollars worth of narcotics and arrested three individuals in a drug bust Saturday.

As a result of an investigation into narcotics activity, the Valdosta Police Department Narcotics Unit conducted a search of an apartment at 410 South Fry Street at 11:30 a.m.

During the search, they discovered 920.2 grams of marijuana and .7 grams of crack cocaine, according to reports.

Valdosta police value the seized narcotics at $213,578.

Willie Charles Williams, 27, Shynice Tramin Baker, 24, and Carrinda Lashonda Brown, 37, have all been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and possession of cocaine. In addition, Williams was charged with trafficking marijuana and Brown had an active arrest warrant for probation violation, according to reports.

All three were transported to the Lowndes County Jail.
