Valdosta’s Got Talent tonight

VALDOSTA — Audiences learn tonight if Valdosta’s Got Talent.

Quota Club of Valdosta sponsors the talent show featuring 15 mostly local acts, said Jackie Tillman, a Valdosta’s Got Talent organizer.

Fourteen of the acts are musical numbers and the other is an illusionist, Tillman said.

A few weeks ago, Quota held auditions for the talent show.

Twenty auditioned and 15 were selected. All of the auditioning talent was good, Tillman said, but organizers wanted to keep the show at a two-hour running time.

In addition to showcasing area talent, the show will raise money for area charities. Proceeds will go to Break Bread Together, the Methodist Home for Children and Youth, and Southside Recreation Center.

Valdosta’s Got Talent starts 7 p.m. today, Valdosta High School Performing Arts Center, off North Forrest Street. Ticket: $10
