Raves for Wednesday, May 15, 2013

VALDOSTA — Editor’s Note: In 2013, Wednesdays will be  rave-only days. Thank you to our readers for your support.

Congratulations, Hahira Elementary School! You make our community proud with hard work and love. Keep up the good work!

I just want everyone to know that Linda at SGMC cafeteria always goes out of her way to make sure me and my family (hungry men) have what we need. I am very proud to call her my co-worker. As a nurse, I work 3-11 and my family comes to eat with me quite a bit and she always takes such good care of us! Thanks Linda, much love!

I am really pleased to hear that Hooters will soon re-open. Our family has missed it and we certainly enjoy how kids eat free on Sundays. Now all we urgently need in Valdosta is a T.G.I.Friday’s and a Golden Corral Buffet and that will help complete a void in the area of really  fabulous eating places.

I would like to praise Pat O’Neal for opening Mama June’s, the best buffet in town. And big praise to one of their servers, Maria. She makes our mealtime delightful. Go for a meal, you won’t be disappointed.

I would like to rave about Taco Bell on St. Augustine. I go there at least once or twice a week. Well, the two or three young ladies that work there on weekdays during the lunchtime hours are so nice and polite. I'm sorry; I don't have their names but I will be sure to look next time I go through.

I would like to give kudos to S.L. Mason Elementary School physical education teachers for allowing the children in special education classes to participate in the obstacle course during the field day events. It was also great to see how the staff, parents, and especially students were cheering them on and that just touched my heart. Thanks for teaching those kids how to care about one another!
