-- — VALDOSTA — Wild Adventures Theme Park hosts two nights of fireworks, at dark, today and Friday, July 4, 5. Also, later Splash Island hours. Today, live music by The Springs on the amphitheatre stage, 7 p.m.; magician Aaron Radatz; K-9s in Flight; water-balloon toss; watermelon and hot dog eating contests. Free admission for military members with valid IDs, discounts for their families and friends.

VALDOSTA — Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks & Recreation Authority will again provide a fireworks display for the community on Independence Day. VLPRA’s annual fireworks display will be held at nightfall, approximately 9:15 p.m., today, July 4. People can view the fireworks on the east side of Interstate 75, in the exit 18 area.

If the event is rained out, VLPRA will reschedule the fireworks for Friday, July 5, at nightfall in the same area.

LAKE PARK — City of Lake Park’s Fourth of July Celebration will begin at 11 a.m. today, July 4, Downtown Lake Park.

Parade begins at 11 a.m. (route from Long Pond Road to South Main Street, and ends on Railroad Avenue).

Vendors and children’s activities later in the day at Tom’s Pond. Fireworks as soon as it gets dark; street dance at the fire station.
