VALDOSTA — On Friday night, the Valdosta Police Narcotics Unit along with the assistance of the Power Squad and Police Department’s Gang Unit arrested several individuals at a house on Holiday Street after receiving numerous complaints from the community of illegal narcotics sales.

While searching the residence for a wanted felon, illegal drugs were reportedly found, including crack cocaine and marijuana, according to Police Chief Brian Childress.

Four suspects were arrested and charged: Kwame Blair, 18, outstanding felony sale warrant, sale of cocaine, two counts; Justin Peterson, 20, outstanding felony sale warrant, sale of cocaine and party to the crime of sale of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine; Sadaryl Peterson, 45, possession of marijuana, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and possession with intent to distribute cocaine; and Christopher Henderson, 22, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, obstruction of an officer- three counts, and possession of marijuana.

According to Childress, officers are not ruling out additional charges and are also seeking another individual involved in the investigation.

“The community brought this to our attention and our detectives and officers addressed the issue. This is how it’s supposed to work,” Childress said.
