LAKE PARK —
Baptist Village of Lake Park held its annual King & Queen contest on Friday, Feb. 14th and the residents have spoken as to whom they want to represent us this year.
The King is Mr. Clifford Warrick, Jr. originally from Wilmington, Del. Mr. Warrick was in the Navy and proudly served his country during WWII and the Korean War. He was also the Editor of the Naval Newspaper NES in Lake Hurst, N.J. “Mr. Cliff” as we fondly call him worked in investments and insurance after he left the Navy until he retired at the age of 82. He enjoys watching TVland, exercise, and many of the other activities offered by Baptist Village. He is a true “southern gentleman” even if he was from the North. Mr. Warrick has one son, Clifford Warrick, III and his wife, Peggy, that live in Pavo, Ga.
The Queen is Bettye Miller, originally from New Albany, Ind. “Miss Bettye” was a secretary and housewife and has one son, Milton Miller III and wife Donna who live in Lake Park, Georgia. She also has two daughters that live in Louisville, Ky. – Charlotte Huntington (whom she lived with before coming to our facility on June 1, 2008) and Lesa Bevars. Ms. Miller is active in her church — United Methodist Church of Lake Park, and with the Path Finders group of Lake Park. She is a social butterfly and enjoys all types of activities and groups coming into the facility for entertainment.
