VALDOSTA — Names, birthdays, and social security numbers for 70 people were seized Wednesday evening leading to multiple counts of identity theft charges for a South Georgia man and woman, according to the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office Thursday.

Lowndes County Sheriff’s Special Operations Division investigators reportedly discovered the notebook containing this information during a traffic stop. The vehicle’s occupants gave authorities permission to search the vehicle.

In addition to the identity information in the notebook, authorities also discovered 20 credit cards encoded with stolen credit card information, according to the sheriff’s office.

The vehicle’s occupants, Nashika Nashae Brunson, 22, of Valdosta and Albert Lee Brunson Sr., 43, of Fitzgerald, are charged with multiple counts of identity theft, according to the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office.

They were both taken into custody and transported to the Lowndes County Jail.

“Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office have contacted the local office of the United States Secret Service and both agencies are working together collaboratively to contact victims and learn the source of the information,” according to reports.
