VALDOSTA — Valdosta police have identified and are searching for a suspect in the Sept. 19 robbery of a convenience store.

Police issued an arrest warrant for Demetrius Anderson, 20, of Valdosta. Anderson has been charged with strong-armed robbery and battery in the robbery of Lee’s Mini Mart at 507 E. Ann St.

The owner of Lee’s Mini Mart reportedly suffered a small cut on his forehead but refused medical assistance. The robber struck the store owner in the face during the incident. An estimated $250 in cash was taken from the register and the robber fled on foot.

Police also issued still photographs from the time of the robbery. The photographs were pulled from a security video camera in the store. Police hope these photographs will help the public spot and identify the suspect.
