Wild Adventures is ready to Salute America with Independence Day activities on July 4 and into the following weekend.
“This Fourth of July, Wild Adventures Theme Park lets freedom ring with two nights of fireworks, live music and summer activities plus free admission for the military," said Micha Hogan, a Wild Adventures spokesperson.
“The Fourth of July celebration begins Thursday, July 4, with live music on the big stage, summer-themed activities and entertainment throughout the day ending with the biggest fireworks display in south Georgia and north Florida.”
Independence Day activities continue with more fireworks and later Splash Island hours on Friday, July 5. Country band Sawyer Brown plays 8 p.m. Saturday, July 6 (watch for The Times interview story with Sawyer Brown in the coming days).
The Valdosta Daily Times returns as a partner with Wild Adventures for the Fourth of July celebration. The Times has partnered with Wild Adventures for the fireworks for several years.
“The Valdosta Daily Times is proud to partner again with Wild Adventures for what has become an Independence Day tradition of fireworks at the park,” says The Times Publisher Jeff Masters.
In addition to the region’s biggest fireworks display, the theme park offers activities throughout July 4. These events include shows by magician Aaron Radatz and K-9s in Flight; visitors can participate in a water-balloon toss, and watermelon and hot dog eating contests.
The Springs, a regional country band, performs in the All-Star Amphitheatre beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, with the park’s traditionally reserved seating free to all guests.
Fireworks and these other events are included in the park’s regular admission and with passes.
Active-duty, reservists, retired and disabled veterans will be admitted free, with valid U.S. military ID, July 4-7.
Military friends and family receive $10 off one-day admission or $5 off two-day admission at the park.
