Shooting suspect sought

Police: Wanted man ‘armed and dangerous’

VALDOSTA — The Valdosta Police Department has named a suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest in connection with an early Friday morning shooting at the Studio Courtyard motel on North Ashley Street.

An arrest warrant for aggravated assault has been issued for William Earl Hollomon, 40. Police consider Hollomon to be “armed and dangerous.”

According to the Valdosta Police Department, emergency personnel responded to a reported shooting at approximately 1:18 a.m. and discovered a 20-year old male victim with a single gunshot wound to his lower abdomen and transported the victim to the South Georgia Medical Center emergency room.

Witnesses told police that the shooter fled on foot, but police were unable to locate the individual.

Police are asking for anyone with information about Hollomon’s location to contact authorities.
