Bridgemen in today’s Disney World parade

The Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade will air on the ABC television network at 10 a.m. today. Lowndes High School’s marching band, the Georgia Bridgemen, took part in the filming of the parade, which took place Dec. 2 in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom park in central Florida.

The two-hour show features appearances and performances by singer and film star Beyonce, recording artist and composer Daniel Powter, Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, the Mexican pop group RBD; singer Bianca Ryan; Playhouse Disney’s Doodlebops, Disney Channel star Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana, the Disney Channel’s “High School Musical” stars Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman and Ashley Tisdale, Grammy Award-winner Michael Bolton; pop performers Paris Bennett, Kevin Covais, Ace Young and Mandisa, sister act Aly & AJ, Travel Channel host Samantha Brown, and “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” designers Ty Pennington, Paige Hemmis and Eduardo Xol.
