VALDOSTA — Easter Seals of South Georgia will host a Holiday Open House at its new Suite A, 610 N. Patterson St. location from 2-4 p.m. Thursday.
The celebration will begin with a ribbon-cutting conducted by the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce.
Easter Seals of South Georgia’s Patterson Street facility will be the new home of the organization’s Respite and Family Support Program, which was formerly located in Tifton. There will be a total of 10 counties represented in the new location.
The program was created to offer assistance to disabled children and their families. It does this by providing adequate supervision for the
child while parents are at work or busy and incentives such as travel reimbursements to help parents with the cost of transporting their child to and from medical visits.
