Published November 25, 2009 03:49 pm - Being thankful this holiday season The Valdosta Daily Times VALDOSTA — The Valdosta Daily Times surveyed residents and leaders earlier this week to find out what they are thankful for this holiday season.
Photographer Jonathan Chick and Reporter Matt Flumerfelt took to the streets and asked residents at the downtown Post Office and the Valdosta Mall to share what they are most thankful for this year, and here is what they had to say: Latesha Thompkins “I thank God to be here and for my family and friends.” Steven Baker “I’m thankful to have my family together for Thanksgiving.” Sam Dulaney “I’m thankful for my grandchildren, Gracie Anne, 4, and Allie, 3, and for my son who just came back from engineering school in Mobile, Ala.” Casey Paarlberg, 5 “I’m thankful for food and for my mommy and daddy.”
