VALDOSTA — Dedicated to improving the quality of life within their communities, members of 100 Black Men of Valdosta Inc. will feed anyone who is hungry beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Their annual Thanksgiving Food Fest will be held at the Salvation Army on the corner of Virginia Avenue and Troup Street.
Don Williams, a spokesperson for 100 Black Men of Valdosta Inc., said people will be fed a full, hot, Thanksgiving meal until all the food is gone. Last year, the group fed 750 people, and they expect to feed that many, if not more, this year.
Meals will also be delivered to The Haven, Sands Horizon and the Ashley House, Williams said.
Volunteers are needed to help serve and deliver meals.
Those interested in working or learning more should call Nathaniel Haugabrook at (229) 247-4617.
