Race to the Int'l Walk for Education



VALDOSTA — Phi Delta Kappa’s Valdosta State University Chapter No. 1314 First International Walk for Education will be held Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Valdosta Middle School track.

The walk is open to the public. Volunteers are being asked to raise $50 or more to become an official participant in the walk. However, if persons are unable to raise any money, they can still participate in the event.

The Walk is part of a worldwide effort on the part of the Future Educators Association and PDK International to raise individuals’ awareness of the importance of universal education for children throughout the world. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the Walk beginning at 9 a.m. and ending around 11 a.m. Please remember to bring money for the Walk to be turned in at the registration table. Contributions raised by the walk will support the programs and services of the Local FEA Chapter, Local Scholarships, and the PDK Foundation.
