HOMERVILLE

An anonymous tip led to the arrest of a Homerville man on drug-related charges Thursday.

The South Georgia Drug Task Force was requested to assist the state probation office and Clinch County Sheriff’s Office after authorities received a tip that a subject was selling marijuana from his residence, according to a press release from the task force.

Around 5:30 p.m., authorities arrested Kevin Tolbert, 28, and charged him with marijuana possession (less than an ounce), possession of tools during the commission of a crime and pills out of the original container, the release stated.

Tolbert was currently out on felony probation, which stems from a six-year sentence for felony possession of marijuana, according to the state probation office.
