As a former chemist and financial planner, Stanton Lanier has perhaps discovered the chemistry of a well-balanced life: Music.
The pianist brings his music Thursday evening for a concert at the Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts.
In 2004, he turned his energies full-time to making what has been described as “a positive difference in today’s music culture.” His music is synonymous with the words “calming, soothing, and uplifting.” His Web site even follows the mood of his music and the tone of his mission: “Music to light the world bringing peace to the soul.”
At first, Lanier released self-produced CDs, until landing a label as his following grew. Earlier this year, Lanier released “Unveiled,” his fifth album. His music has also been used for soundtracks in Lifetime TV’s popular “Army Wives,” as well as on The Weather Channel, NPR, and more.
This week, Stanton Lanier’s music becomes part of the Valdosta scene with his arts center concert.
