Two Cook County residents have been taken into custody and charged with drug-related crimes.
Around 5 p.m. on Sept. 18, agents with the South Georgia Drug Task Force, along with Cook County Sheriff’s Office investigators, apprehended Tony Bernard Carnegia, born in 1986, of Adel, reported Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jamy Steinberg.
Carnegia is charged with possession of marijuana, Steinberg noted.
Around 8:15 p.m. that same day, agents with the South Georgia Drug Task Force received consent to search property in the area of 3rd Street in Sparks. They were assisted by the Cook County Sheriff’s Office and Sparks Police Department, according to reports.
During the search, an 8-foot marijuana plant was discovered, Steinberg noted. Haley Grant Jr., born in 1949, of Sparks, was arrested and charged with manufacture of marijuana, Steinberg added.
No other information was known at press time.
