Daniel Lee Roberson was born to the late Robert Lee and Mary Lena Roberson on Dec. 14, 1952 in Vidalia, Ga. He attended Blanche Ely High School in Pompano Beach, Fla. He later moved to Valdosta where he was a devoted worker for the city of Valdosta for 22 years. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Priscilla Jackson, four brothers, Johnnie, Robert, Bennie, Steve, one sister Roxie Barnes.

He leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Davida Roberson; three daughters, Melody Wright (Marlon Sr.), Naylor, Ga., Sadie Morris (Michael Sr.), Valdosta, Aretha Donaldson (Jimmy Sr.), Birmingham, Ala.; two sons, Dwight McDuffie (Sylvia), Nashville, Ga., Carlton McDuffie Sr. (Carolyn), Lake City, Fla.; three sisters, Alfrieda Johnson, Virginia Watson, Beverly Roberson, all of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; one brother, Billy Roberson (Mamie), Ft. Lauderdale; one brother-in-law, Claude Barnes; 12 grandchildren, Malcom Wright, Marlon Wright Jr., Naylor, Carlton McDuffie Jr., Valdosta, Jimmy Donaldson Jr., Birmingham, Dwanaill Sutton, Pompano Beach, Fla., Chasity Wright, Jaylin Wright, Naylor, Shaytoria McDuffie, Camilla, Ga., Con’ Tessia McDuffie, Jamayah Donaldson, Birmingham, Ala., Joanna Bailey, Jazmie Edwards, Pompano Beach, Fla.; four great-grandchildren; four special friends, Barbara Ann Johnson, Latrease Singletary, Kenneth Hunt, Clarissa Conwright; a host of nieces nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2009 at the Gateway to Heaven Holiness Church in Lakeland. Bishop Otis Calhoun is pastor and Prophetess Barbara Davis will officiate.
