Memorial service announced for Mildred Hunter

— A memorial service will be held for Mildred M. Hunter at the Mildred Hunter Center, 509 S. Fry St., beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday. The public is invited to attend. Hunter’s funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Macedonia First Baptist Church, 715 J.L. Lomax Drive.
In lieu of flowers, everyone is asked to contribute to the Mildred Morse Hunter Scholarship Fund, c/o Macedonia First Baptist Church, 715 J.L. Lomax Drive, Valdosta, Ga., 31601.
