‘Taste the Wine,’ support a canine

— VALDOSTA — Leadership Lowndes Class of 2009 is gearing up to host a fun evening of wine tasting during its Taste the Wine and Support the Canine event Saturday.
During the event, attendees will learn how to taste, purchase and serve wine, while enjoying gourmet hors d’ oeuvres.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Quail Branch Lodge in Lake Park. The deadline for $50 admission tickets for the event was May 4. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Humane Society of Valdosta/Lowndes County.
The coordinators of the wine tasting expressed special thanks to Republic National Distributing Company and Covington’s Dining & Catering.
