• How about a TitleTown museum?

It’s time to consider the possibilities. Since the high school hall of fame never materialized, perhaps a TitleTown museum can be erected. There is a lot of material to be drawn from our local schools and individuals. For example, the author of “Jingle Bells” might be included in addition to other individuals who have earned recognition in various areas including heroism during war or in service to humanity.

TitleTown can be an all inclusive presentation of our many talented and accomplished citizens.

Rep. Carter and Sen. Golden as well as the leaders could offer their expertise in locating available funds and a suitable location. Perhaps Valdosta State University could assist.

The remarkable thing, too, is that the completed museum would bring in revenue, not be a source of drain on the tax payers.

We really should take complete advantage of our national publicity.

• Miss the roar of the motorcycle

In Thursday’s Rant & Rave section, I was troubled by a cold sarcasm-filled rant concerning a motorcycle.

I must admit, I have been guilty of the same thing. That said, there was a motorcycle, it sounded like it was exceeding the speed limit, on Bemiss Road. The young man who was responsible for the noise in the middle of the night, had me muttering some rather colorful words. I now miss that noise. Recently the young man responsible, was killed recently. I miss the sound of that bike. The nights have become tragically silent.
