The Rev. LeRoy A. Hay, 88, of Lake Park, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at Langdale Hospice House after a short illness. He was born on Jan. 30, 1919, in Bath, Pa., to the late Albert and Mary Martin Hay. Rev. Hay was a retired Pentecostal minister.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Arlene E. Hay of Valdosta; four daughters and sons-in-law, Asceneth and James Tichinel of Lake Park, Connie Sue and James Powell of Valdosta, Verda and Lloyd Brannon of Minter, Ohio, Renee and Joseph Muscarella of Quitman; two sons and daughters-in-law, Wilbur and Loraine Hay of Gastonia, N.C., Herbert and Betty Hay of Ashtabula, Ohio; 22 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Cotterill, the Rev. James Tichinel and the Rev. J. Dennis Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
