Larry J. Fountain
Larry J. Fountain, 60, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007. The Sumter County. S.C., native, born on Sept. 30, 1946, moved to Live Oak, Fla., in 1984 from Valdosta, Ga. Mr. Fountain retired from the Navy and while in the Navy he served two tours in Vietnam. He retired 13 years from the Agriculture Department in Live Oak, Fla. He also was a member of the Mason Lodge Barrett No. 43.
Mr. Fountain is survived by his wife, Leigh Fountain, Live Oak, Fla.; two daughters, Melissa Beverly, Crystal Stalvey, both of Homerville, Ga.; one son, Scotty Fountain, Valdosta, Ga.; one sister, Carolyn Dollar, Albany, Ga.; one brother, Ut Van Tran, Jennings, Fla.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mort L. Fountain, Dillon “D.H.” Fountain, and two sisters, Brenda Hutt and Doris Hall.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, at Daniels Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Alan Muter officiating. — Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Live Oak, Fla.

Lillian Minerva O'Neal McLeod
Mrs. Lillian Minerva O'Neal McLeod, 82, of Madison, Fla., died Wednesday Sept. 13, 2007, at Madison County Memorial Hospital from natural causes.
The daughter of John Homer O'Neal and Essie Green O'Neal Cook, she was born Nov. 2, 1924, in Bridgeboro, Worth County, Ga. On Jan. 28, 1943, she married Donald McLeod of Brooks County, Ga., a son of Jeptha Malachi McLeod and Mary Florence Corley McLeod also of Brooks County, Ga. Between their retirement from U.S. civil service and settling in Madison, Fla., they traveled the highways by RV and enjoyed working in West Yellowstone National Park and Death Valley, Calif. Donald preceded Lillian in death on Feb. 9, 2003.
Mrs. Lillian McLeod is survived by two daughters, Ovaleen Andersen of Del Rio, Tenn. and Carolyn Ann Krohn of Jasper, Fla., as well as one son, John William McLeod of Madison, Fla.; and one brother, Calvin Quincy O'Neal of Chiefland, Fla.; three sisters-in law, Catherine McLeod Graves of Jacksonville, Fla., Audrey McLeod Taylor of Anderson, S.C., and Jewel McLeod Baldree of Nashville, Ga. She is also survived by the following grandchildren: Richard Thomas Pettigrew of Mayo, Fla.; Donald Leon Pettigrew of Austin, Texas; Patrick Sean McLeod of Jacksonville, Fla.; Tracy McLeod of Donna, Texas; William Cody Krohn of Sunset, Utah; Michael James Krohn of Jasper, Fla.; Jennifer Ann Krohn of Kingsville, Texas; Kristina Laree Krohn of Moscow, Idaho; Thomas Jeptha Krohn of Scagway, Alaska; Benjamin Walter Perry Krohn of Jasper, Fla.; and 10 great-grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren.
A small memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Sept. 18, 2007 at Faith Baptist Church, Madison, Fla.
