— Evie Lee Montgomery, 84, of Adel, passed away April 14, 2008, at Tift Healthcare.
She was born on Oct. 9, 1923, in Dooley County to the late Erby Lee and Bamer Lee Thombley Lowery. She lived most of her life in Cook County and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Benjamin Montgomery.
She is survived by four daughters, Betty Rose Daughtrey, Shirley Hardy, Debbie and Wayne Deason, all of Adel, Pam and Don Williams of Lenox; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters,Eunice Montgomery, Naylor, Ruby Wilkerson, Lawtey, Fla., Dot Reid, Houston, Texas; and sister-in-law, Mary Bell Crosby of Valdosta. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 17, 2008, at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmie Hinson officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
