Published September 07, 2008 12:58 am - Arson suspected in fire Valdosta firefighters were called out around 12:30 a.m. Sunday to battle a house fire on Virginia Avenue near the street's intersection with Troup Street. Huge flames could be seen shooting out of the roof toward the back of the house. Sunday, a police report said an unknown person started the fire. No report on the number of injuries, if any, is yet available.
