Quota Club helps survivor of train accident

VALDOSTA — Every March, the Quota Club takes on a project for the month in honor of Quota Cares Month.

Quota Cares Month is an annual public awareness campaign that seeks to raise funds for a worthy cause in their area. This year, the club decided to help Chris Moore.

Chris Moore was involved in a train accident that resulted in the amputation of his leg. The local Quota Club chose him as its recipient to help with the financial costs associated with getting a prosthetic limb.

The club awarded Moore with a check for $500. The money given to him was raised by the club’s annual Breakfast with Santa event held every December on the second Saturday of the month at Applebee’s.
