All in the Details

VALDOSTA — Details do not seem to escape the eye of Lowndes High School student Amy Jones.

In her mixed-media, monotype collage, “Behind Panama Views,” Jones finds the blue pools within sea ripples. The planks of a deck reach toward a cityscape in the near horizon.

Jones won Best of Show in Lowndes High School Art’s on-going show in the media center. She had plenty of competition from her classmates.

Each spring, art teachers Sherry Bennett and Heather Dorsey prepare their students for a big show, which is exhibited and judged for prizes. This year, the LHS artists also received instruction from student teachers Paul Glynn and Kara Rice.
