Humane Society holds cat adoption open house

VALDOSTA — The Humane Society of Valdosta/Lowndes County will be hosting a Pet Adoption Open House for cats this weekend.

The open house will be held 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 18, at the Humane Society.

The shelter expects to have several cats ready for adoption. To be ready for adoption, the cats must have been spayed or neutered and have their shots.

The adoption fee is $85, which includes the cost of spaying/neutering and the rabies shots for the cats.

“We, the Humane Society, are so grateful and appreciate so much the community coming out to see the kitties and hopefully giving them a forever home,” said Candace Wakefield, operations coordinator at the Humane Society.

The Humane Society is located at 307 E. Jane St., Valdosta. For more information, contact Wakefield at (229) 249-9316.
