Annual Scholarship Night at the Elk’s Lodge

2014 Elk’s Virginia Prince Memorial Scholarships presented by the Valdosta Elk’s Lodge and Terry Bennett, Exalted Ruler.

VALDOSTA — The Elk’s Virginia Prince Memorial Scholarships for 2014 will be $2,000 each and the recipients for 2014 are:

James Tyler Dallas, Valdosta High School.

Attending: University of Georgia

James is the son of George Franklin and Kathy Kinard Dallas. James will be attending UGA to pursue a double major in Political Science and Finance and later plans on attending Law School.

Christine Zeigler, Lowndes High School

Attending: Valdosta State University

Christine is the daughter of Steve Zeigler and Lois Bellflowers. She has been accepted at VSU where she will pursue a master’s degree in education with hopes of becoming a high school math teacher.

Brittney Perez, Echols County High School

Attending: Valdosta State University

Brittney is the daughter of Penny Weeks. She has been accepted at VSU where she will pursue a master’s degree in nursing and hopes to become a Registered Nurse and serve the Valdosta area.

Their scholarship certificates were presented at the schools Honors Night Programs earlier in May. The recipients along with their families attended the Elk’s Lodge Scholarship Night for dinner and check presentations on the evening of Tuesday May 20.

We, the Valdosta Elks, are very pleased to help these young adults as they pursue their dreams and secure their futures. We wish each of you the very best and want to thank you for being such great high school students. We know you will also be great University students. We are very happy to be able, in a small way, to help you pursue your dreams.
