‘The Poisoned Apple’ attracts an audience

VALDOSTA — Lowndes High School Off-Broadway tells a different story of Snow White with playwright Dave Barton’s “The Poisoned Apple.”

Director Phyllis Childree stages a massive student cast for this play, which is the theatre organization’s children’s production. The show has also attracted a good-sized audience.

Initially, the show was only scheduled to play for the public on Friday night, April 26, but that performance sold out so quickly that LHS Off-Broadway added a second public performance for Sunday afternoon, April 28.

As the children’s show, “The Poisoned Apple” will also be performed for visiting Lowndes County Schools elementary students. Hahira Elementary School first-graders and Pine Grove Elementary School gifted students will see performances of the show.

While “The Poisoned Apple” is the last full show of the season, LHS Off-Broadway will present its Senior Showcase on May 11.

THE CAST: Shelby Stacey, Gabby Chitwood, Morgan Brady, Emery Turner, Karmann Evans, Sarah Farmer, Gabby Powell, Brooke Hudson, Kailyn Shaffer, Andrew Mast, Savannah Mace, Brittany McLeod, Nathaniel Freeman, Dylan Carter, J’Len Shaw, Keileigh Sams, Cora Johnson, Emily Davis, Dakota Bostick, Shiann Brownrigg, Eryn Guilmette, Andrea Sirmans, Madison Kruse, Anna Butcher, Samara Blunt, Crisha Crawford, Kerry King, Atira Williams, Keenan Evans, Kaysie Croft, Kaylee Green, Reynaldo Hicks, Anari Donaldson, Hunter Watson.
