Rucha and Shamb Purohit turn the halls of Smith-Northview Hospital into “The Plains of the Serengeti.”
This exciting art exhibit features safari photographs of elephant herds, zebra, lions and more big cats. The Purohits also catch sight of the people and topography. Viewers will discover intimate glimpses of colorful flowers as well as sweeping vistas of land as far as the eye can see.
In addition to sharing their experiences through the camera lens, the Purohits share profits from the sell of these works with others. Seventy-five percent of profits go toward the Boys & Girls Club and The Haven, 12.5 percent of proceeds go toward the Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts, and the remaining 12.5 percent goes toward the Smith-Northview Auxiliary.
Smith-Northview Hospital hosts exhibits featuring area artists on a regular basis.
Rucha and Shamb Purohit’s “The Plains of the Serengeti” is on exhibit for the next few weeks at Smith-Northview Hospital, 4280 North Valdosta Road.
